Prize List Now Available Online for Classique Internationale De Blainville (Jumping Blainville)

Blainville, Quebec --- June 3, 2010 –The Classique Internationale De Blainville (Jumping Blainville) is pleased to announce that the hunter/jumper competition’s prize list is currently available online. The prize list and entry blank are posted on the internet at www.classiqueblainville.com. Entries for Jumping Blainville close on Thursday, June 10, 2010, and any entries received after that date will only be accepted if stalls are available.
Canada’s top hunter and jumper riders will travel to the Equestrian Park of Blainville for this world-class event, which features two weeks of exciting competition. The first week of Jumping Blainville will get underway July 7-11, 2010, and the second week will continue July 14 - 18, 2010.
The first week of the horse show will feature three exciting highlight events, beginning with the $10,000 Welcome Stake to be held on Friday, July 9, 2010. Later in the week the world’s top jumper riders will compete for the winning title in the $40,000 Grand Prix Jumping du Quebec scheduled for Sunday, July 11, 2010. Earlier in the day riders will also have the chance to show in the $5,000 Nations Cup class for Non-Pros.
The exciting competition at Jumping Blainville will continue the following week, kicking-off with the $32,000 Open FEI Jumper class on Friday, July 16, 2010. The jumper action will continue on Saturday, July 17, 2010, with the $15,000 Speed Derby. The next day riders will have two more opportunities to compete for top prize money, beginning with the $5,000 Gamblers Choice. The final event at Jumping Blainville will be the $60,000 World Cup Qualifier, where the nation’s top athletes will compete for points to show at the 2011 FEI World Cup Finals in Leipzig, Germany.
Canada’s best hunter riders will also be at Jumping Blainville to compete during the $3,000 Hunter Classic which will be held each Sunday, and the $1,000 Pony Hunter Classic held each Saturday. The exciting Jumping Blainville horse show will feature $300,000 in prize money over the two weeks of competition at the picturesque Equestrian Park of Blainville.
The Concours d'Élégance Le Mirage is a unique charity vocation in Canada. It was created in 2009 by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jacques Dion, who is also Chief Executive of the Andre-Delambre Foundation for which the founds will be collected. This second annual event will be held over three days, July 16- 18, 2010 compared to last year's one-day event.
The program includes a fundraising event in the evening on July 16 at the Golf Le Mirage, in Terrebonne. On Saturday July 17, there will be a club day of antique cars at the Equestrian Park, and finally on Sunday July 18, the Concours D'Élégance Le Mirage will announce the car of the year and will conclude with the Beauty and the Beast at the Equestrian Park.
This event is organized to raise money for the André-Delambre Foundation, presided over by René Angelil, which supports the University Researchs on SLA (the Lou Gehrig disease). This work is done by a world known researcher, Dr Jean-Pierre Julien from the CHUQ in Quebec. This innovative program combined with Jumping Blainville’s events on Sunday July 18, which supports the same cause the SLA disease, is a first of a kind in the world and is a philanthropic model.
