3rd Annual January Thaw Equine Expo supporting the Children’s Wish Foundation
Scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd
January 8, 2010
Fredericton, NB --- The 2010 January Thaw Equine Expo is the third annual event of its kind. Once again it will offer an equine trade show featuring breed associations, riding and driving clubs, human and horse health experts, tack shops, horse trailer dealers, equine artists and photographers, massage therapists, commercial exhibits and more!
PLUS, there'll be demonstrations and guest speakers throughout the day. For details and up-to-date schedules, check the website at www.januarythaw.com
This annual event is organized by volunteers led by equine industry members Karen Thomas (North Stream Tack Shop) and Brenda Nason (Sundowner Atlantic). Their goal is to offer an interesting day that's all about the horse and to encourage camaraderie throughout the horse industry in the region - all the while brightening the long, cold winter months.
They are very excited and Brenda Nason said, “best part is seeing people you have not seen in a long time and shopping...great deals!”
Admission is only a Twoonie. Profits will be donated to the Children's Wish Foundation along with other funds raised on their behalf during the day by various exhibitors such as the student massage therapists from the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage who will charge for a 15 minute massage and donate the proceeds to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Other exhibitors will be holding draws or raffles again with the proceeds going to this deserving charity.
The event runs from 9:a.m. to 5:p.m. and is being held in the Fredericton Exhibition Centre on Smythe St.
