Horse Week 2008 Fast Approaching—Register Your Event Now!

Ottawa, ON --- —Equine Canada’s Recreation Division and the provincial equestrian federations would like to remind everyone that Horse Week 2008, which is taking place May 30–June 8, is fast approaching!
Held annually to promote and celebrate Canada’s thriving horse industry, Horse Week appeals to both horse enthusiasts and the public alike. Featuring a wide range of activities held across the country, including trail rides, equine showcases, charity events, RCMP musical rides and competitions of all kinds, Horse Week has been growing steadily since its inception in 2002.
Horse lovers from all over the country have been registering up a storm on the EC website—from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island—great events have been created and registered, including two events, an endurance ride on the first weekend of Horse Week and a competitive trail ride on the second weekend, at the beautiful Birds Hill Provincial Park in Manitoba. Also, over 200 participants will also take part in the Hoof & Woof Ride-A-Thon, organized by Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities, which will be hosted at Campbell Valley Park, in Langley, BC.

As an organizer, you will receive an event package from your provincial federation which will include an official Horse Week poster to help you promote your event, as well as buttons and certificates for your participants. Official Horse Week 2008 Sponsors also have an opportunity to provide promotional materials as well!
