Jennifer Reid of Bainbridge Farm Wins Second Consecutive Championship
at CN Winter Equestrian Festival
April 9, 2008
Wellington, FL --- Bainbridge Farm, owned by Richard Schechter and based in Wellington, FL, finished out the CN Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) with a great week of competition. Jennifer Reid of Wellington, FL, won the championship in the Adult Equitation 18-35 division.
Reid rode Jiminy Crickett II, a horse that she has shown for three years. The pair has gotten to know each other very well and are adept at showing in both the hunter and equitation divisions with success. This is the second week in a row that Reid won the Adult Equitation 18-35 championship. She was first in the flat class and finished first and sixth over fences.
Reid also picked up top ribbons with Good Point in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunters. The pair won championships this year at WEF, and despite having only been paired together for two months, they finished fifth in the WEF Circuit Championship standings.
Reid was very pleased with her success this year in both divisions and with a new horse. It was a good start to the year, she said. I was really happy with the way the horses performed. Good Point is a seasoned show horse, but we had to get to know each other quickly. I was very proud of him. Jiminy is another veteran in the show ring, and he was very consistent for the entire circuit.
Bainbridge Farm would like to congratulate Reid and their entire team on a very successful Winter Equestrian Festival and looks forward to competing this summer.
