Singer-Songwriter James Taylor to Perform at the Calgary Stampede

Calgary, AB --- The Calgary Stampede presents the quintessential singer-songwriter James Taylor live at the Pengrowth Saddledome on Sunday, July 13. Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 17 at 10 a.m.
Over the course of his long career, James Taylor has earned 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, sold over 40 thousand albums and received five Grammy Awards. In 2000 Taylor was inducted into both the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriter's Hall of Fame. Taylor is currently completing a world tour of his acclaimed CD/DVD release One Man Band. One Man Band is an intimate retrospective of 40 years of songs.
“We are very excited about the addition of James Taylor to our Saddledome lineup during this year’s Calgary Stampede,” says Paul Rosenberg, associate vice-president, Calgary Stampede. “Taylor is a legend to generations of music fans with such hits as You’ve Got A Friend and Fire and Rain.”
James Taylor tickets are $65 to $95 (plus applicable ticket fees), which includes admission to the Stampede on the day of the concert. Tickets will be available online at www.ticketmaster.ca or by calling Ticketmaster at 777-0000. The Calgary Stampede takes place July 4 to 13, 2008.
