“In the Pink” Party at AHJF Hunter Classic Spectacular of Palm Beach a Huge Success

Wellington, FL --- The American Hunter Jumper Foundation (AHJF) hosted the fabulous “In the Pink” party on Saturday evening, February 23, 2008. The party was held in the International Club at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Guests arrived decked out in every shade of pink to watch the AHJF Hunter Classic Spectacular of Palm Beach, an event that showcases the top national amateur, junior, and professional show hunter riders.
The International Club was sold out for the evening, making it one of the most successful fundraisers in the AHJF’s history. The money raised from the tables goes towards the non-profit AHJF’s programs, such as the Emergency Relief Fund, educational programs, and the World Championship Hunter Rider program.
The pink theme was consistent throughout the International Club stunning orchids on every table, and the pink Rosé champagne offered to guests as they arrived. The delectable food included butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, carving stations with filet of beef and rack of lamb, and a pasta station. For dessert, guests were treated to pink custard tarts with fresh raspberries and strawberries. As a special thank you, sponsor CM Hadfield’s presented each guest with a parting gift of gourmet chocolates. The Equestrian Club by Tavern on the Green provided the catering.
For the fifth year in a row, Kim Tudor has produced the dinner event for the AHJF Hunter Classic Spectacular of Palm Beach. This year, the eye-catching pink interiors, which included were designed by Geri Roper of Hedgerow and the creative Suzy M. Drasnin. These included the special custom paintings created by French artist Marguerite Breguet.
The “In the Pink” party co-chairpersons were Mr. and Mrs. S. Craig Lindner of All Seasons Farm and Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Jacobs of Deeridge Farms.
Guests included: Patty Scialfa and Bruce Springsteen, haute couture fashion designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka, Kelly Klein and Stormy Good of Wild Ocean Farm, Academy Award nominee and Emmy award-winning actress Alfre Woodard and daughter Mavis Spencer, producer and director James Burrows and wife Debbie, Olympic gold medalist Peter Wylde, Urban Outfitters Inc. CEO Glen Senk, Tavern on the Green owner Jenny Oz LeRoy, Katherine and Mark Bellissimo, Jennifer and Roger Smith, Cindy Hadfield, Lisa and Robert Lourie of Spy Coast Farm LLC, Caroline Clark Morrison, Vanessa Symmons, Bryan Baldwin, Mary Kay and Dennis Shaughnessy, Stacey and Ramin Arani, Elizabeth Johnson of Louisburg Farm, Peter W. One of the highlights of the evening was the auction of a Badgely Mischka collection and two tickets to the designers’ fashion show in New York City’s Gramercy Park. Mark Bellissimo and Roger Smith put in equal bids, and Badgley Mischka generously doubled their donation so that friends Katherine Bellissimo and Jennifer Smith will both receive the fabulous dresses.
