Rocky Mountain Challenge - 2008 Canadian Nationals- Red Deer River Ranches
Sundre, AB- Four days of equine long-distance competition showcasing the sports of competitive trail, endurance and ride n' tie will take place July 31 – August 4, 2008. Teams and individuals will tackle 10-100 miles of trail in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains to challenge for the title of Canadian Champion. Riders from Saudi Arabia and Australia have expressed interest in participating in this National and International competition. An additional focus of the event is the 100-mile FEI competition, which will offer competitors an opportunity to qualify for the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. A unique aspect of this event is that all levels of riders are welcomed and encouraged to challenge themselves in what will be a talented field. The organizing committee extends a warm welcome to competitors, spectators and particularly volunteers - all important aspects in putting on an event of this magnitude.
